Reports reaching NAIJ.com have it that a retired United States General, Wesley Clark, has visited President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.
Photo obtained from Femi Adesina, President Buhari’s aide, showed that the retired US General arrived the Nigerian federal capital on Monday, May 16.
Although the details of the meeting were not made public, feelers have it that the meeting may not be unconnected to security-related issues ravaging the west African country.

Immediately after returning from London the Nigerian leader presided over a crucial international event in Abuja on Saturday, May 14.
President Buhari welcomed African and global leaders in the capital of the nation to discuss joint anti-terrorism steps, safety and security in the region.
During the meeting, President Buhari expressed his administration’s resolve towards ensuring that the over 200 school girls abducted by Boko Haram in Chibok in 2014 are returned home safely.
He said: “Let me reiterate our firm commitment to safely rescue and re-unite the abducted Chibok girls with their families. Our government will not spare any effort to achieve this important mission.
“It is my firm belief that this summit would usher in a period of improved collaboration to address the menace of terrorism in the region. Inspired by the promise of sustainable peace and development, we must redouble our efforts to implement all agreements.”
