This late night drive was a very special one for a 23-years old Canadian lady. It was a dark and foggy night. She fully trusted her set nav devices for the road directions. What happened to her next is unbelievable!
Daily we rely on various gadgets, such as smartphones, tablets and GPS navigators. The girl just followed the set nav directions to the letter and made the suggested turn. She certainly did not expect the thing that happened next!
Her car just turned into a submarine! Instead of driving on the road, the GPS navigator gave her a direction to turn to the boat launch. She drove right into the lake called Huron. As it was pretty foggy, she realized she was driving under the water only in few moments when her car submerged all the way to the roof!
The girl had a quick reaction once she stopped relying on the set nav. She rolled down one of the car windows, grabbed her purse and got out of the car. She had to do little swimming to the shore, but her Toyota Yaris got drowned in the lake.
She rushed for a nearby hotel and got help there. The only thing that was injured in the lady was her pride. She is Ok after the incident, but the policemen had to use some heavy equipment to drag the submarine car out of the lake. They say the girl is sorry for what she has done and feels very badly over the incident. She would not be fined for her excessive faith in modern digital wonders.
