Facebook invites Glenn Beck and other conservatives to chat with Mark Zuckerberg

Facebook has invited a small handful of conservative leaders, including Glenn Beck, to its Silicon Valley headquarters this week at the invitation of CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
The meeting will be held in light of a widely circulated report from Gizmodo detailing how former Facebook contractors allegedly kept conservative news stories from appearing in the social network's Trending topics section.
"They [Facebook] have had the same problem that many in media and Silicon Valley face: suppression of conservative voices and ideas," wrote Beck on his Facebook page.
Ever since Gizmodo's initial report was published along with a follow-up from The Guardian with more details, Facebook has been in full-on damage control mode. The company has said it's found "no evidence" that workers suppressed conservative news stories from appearing in the Trending box, which is designed to show the most talked about topics on Facebook at any given time.
Facebook confirmed the meeting to Recode and that it had invited about a "dozen" conservatives to its headquarters to talk with Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg recently said he planned on "inviting leading conservatives and people from across the political spectrum to talk with me about this and share their points of view."
"It would be interesting to look him in the eye as he explains and a win for all voices if we can come to a place of real trust with this powerful tool," Beck said to his millions of followers on Facebook.
