Senator Ben Bruce representing Bayelsa east senatorial district o Friday, May 13, reacted to David Camron’s statement, the British Prime Minister.

The senator took to his social media page to blast Camron calling him a “receiver of looted funds”.

“If a looter of public funds is corrupt then the receiver of looted funds is also corrupt. @David_Cameron, UK is a receiver of looted funds,” he wrote.

The British PM was caught on camera telling the Queen on Tuesday, May 1o that some “fantastically corrupt” leaders including Nigeria and Afghanistan, were due to attend his anti-corruption summit.

The Prime Minister hosted an international anti-corruption summit on Thursday, May 12 aimed at stepping up global action to combat corruption in all walks of life.

In a pooled video feed made available to the ITN broadcaster, Mr Cameron was shown talking with the Queen about the summit.

However, the news about Cameron defining Nigeria as a corrupt nation went viral immediately afterwards.

Even President Muhammadu Buhari agreed that Nigeria was a corrupt country when asked by some newsmen on arrival for the conference.

While being asked about David Cameron, British Prime Minister, comments that Nigeria is fantastically corrupt he says: “I’m not going to demand an apology from anyone, what I’ll demand is a return of assets.”

“By the end of our summit tomorrow, we should be able to agree on rules-based architecture to combat corruption. Corruption does not differentiate between developed and developing countries.

“It is a serious threat to good governance, peace and security. I call for establishment of an anti-corruption infrastructure that will trace and return stolen assets to their countries of origin,” he said.

Other public figures like Dino Melaye representing Kogi west senatorial district, Abike Dabiri, a former member of the Nigerian House of representatives, Freeze, On-air Personality at Cool Fm among others.
