The industrial city sizzled as mercury again touched 44 degrees Celsius mark in this month on Friday. Earlier, on May 2, the temperature had reached 44.5 degrees which was not only the hottest day of the ongoing summer season but the hottest day in May in the last 45 years. Thus, Friday turned out to be the second hottest day of this summer season.
