First-round draft pick Laquon Treadwell signed his rookie contract with the Vikings today, according to his agency, Impact Sports Management.
Treadwell, the 23rd overall selection in April, was the last of the team’s eight 2016 draft picks to agree to a contract. The others all signed last week.
Treadwell, a wide receiver, participated in last weekend’s rookie minicamp despite not being under contract at that time. He signed an injury protection agreement before impressing during his first practice at Winter Park.
As a first-round pick, Treadwell signed a four-year deal with a team option for a fifth season. Broncos outside linebacker Shane Ray, the 23rd overall selection last year, signed a four-year deal worth $9.2 million with $7.4 million guaranteed. Treadwell’s contract should be close to that.
The 6-foot-2 wideout recorded a school-record 202 career receptions in three seasons at Ole Miss for 2,393 yards and 21 touchdowns.
