The NAIJ.com reader who emailed us photos of himself, the driver of his bus and the soldiers while demanding bribe explained that it has become a regular occurrence for drivers to be delayed by uniformed men along Makurdi to Gboko road in Benue state just to collect bribe. In his words:

”That’s my ugly face in the picture and inside a public vehicle which is parked by the police for no reason, and right behind is the driver of the said vehicle begging the police for a token (bribe) just to allow us passage, this happens regularly and often along makurdi to gboko road, Benue State. from the look on my face you would know that I am not happy with such conduct by the Nigerian Police Force. this is contrary to public policy!”
