Suspected Fulani herdsmen have reportedly kidnapped a non-academic staff of the Delta State University, Abraka, Mr. John Ogeleke.

Ogeleke was allegedly abducted in the early hours of Thursday at Kwale, Ndokwa West local government area of the state by suspected herdsmen who have been on the prowl in the area.
The police public relations officer of the state police command, DSP Celestina Kalu who confirmed the story, said Ogeleke was heading towards Ogume from Kwale in his Nissan Pathfinder SUV when he was abducted at gun point.
According to Kalu, reports had it that four men of Fulani extraction armed with guns and sticks had emerged from a nearby bush, forced the vehicle to a stop, seized Ogeleke who is 54 years of age and took him into the bush.

She said the police in the Kwale division, vigilantee members, men of Dragon 25 police patrol team an reinforcement from nearby divisions were already searching the vast bush, adding that the Fulani leader in Kwale, Alhaji Mudi has also been informed “to assist in the search as several Fulani camps are located therein.”
Meanwhile, reports by the Plateau state police command, on Wednesday, April 20, paraded 23 suspects for crimes ranging from cattle rustling, unlawful possession of fire arms, armed robbery and gangsterism.
Parading the suspects at the headquarters of the command in Jos, Commissioner of police, Adekunle Oladunjoye, said: “On the 3rd April, 2016, at about 13:10 hours, policemen from Special Anti Robbery Squad, (SARS) on information arrested 5 persons for alleged cattle rustling in Wase LGA of the state.”
He added that the suspects who included Alhaji Lawal Idris (aka Goma), Mohammadu Yusuf, Musa Abubakar, Buba Ishaku and Idris Yusuf would be charged to court as soon as SCID completed investigation.
