The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national publicity secretary, Olisa Metuh has said that there is no disagreement among the members of the PDP National Convention zoning committee.
Metuh made the clarification on Wednesday, April 20, in Abuja while speaking with newsmen.
The national publicity secretary said that members of the committee were still consulting to arrive at an acceptable zoning formula ahead of the May 21 national convention of the party.

He said: “Consultation on the zoning formula is ongoing. All the governors are involved; members of the national assembly are involved. At the end of the day the committee will come up with a zoning formula that will be acceptable to members and put the party again on the path of glory”.
The publicity secretary, who did not state the date for the next meeting of the committee, however stated that it would be held next week in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom state capital.
The committee adjourned indefinitely after its last meeting held on Tuesday in Abuja, NAN reports.
The opposition party is still struggling to keep the house united following a warning issued by some members of the party over the zoning of the party’s chairmanship position.

The party announced earlier ahead of its convention that key positions of the party’s candidacy have been zoned with the north expected to produce the presidency and the south east to take the vice presidency position.
The party also zoned the position of the party chairmanship to the south south but new reports suggest this might be changed to the north.
