John Terry shows support for Kurt Zouma as Chelsea defender continues recovery from knee injury
Kurt Zouma may be working tirelessly on his own to re-gain full fitness following knee surgery, but his Chelsea teammates are seemingly helping him every step of the way - with John Terry visiting the defender on Thursday.
Zouma has been missing from action since suffering a cruciate ligament knee injury after landing awkwardly on the pitch in Chelsea's 1-1 draw at home to Manchester United in February before undergoing surgery in Barcelona shortly afterwards.
The centre-back has taken just three weeks to begin walking again, and recently gave fans hope he will return to the field soon after he uploaded a video of himself cycling and doing a variety of stretching-based strength exercises.
Zouma is expected to be sidelined for the rest of the season, but Terry decided to give Chelsea supporters another update on the 21-year-old's condition after visiting him today at the club's training base in Cobham.
The Blues captain posted a picture alongside Zouma on his official Instagram account and wrote: "@kurtzouma working hard to get back fit. Get well soon my friend."
With Zouma out, Terry - who is set to leave Chelsea this summer - will line up alongside Gary Cahill when the champions travel to take on Aston Villa on Saturday in the Premier League.
Guus Hiddink's side will be hopeful of securing all three points despite the absences of Eden Hazard and Diego Costa through injury and suspension respectively as Villa are without a win in seven league games.
