This ridiculously simple product makes earbuds fit so much better

Apple’s EarPods might be the most ubiquitous pair of headphones on the market, for better or worse. Mostly worse, as far as sound quality is concerned. But free is free. And if nothing else, the sheer pervasiveness of the little white buds has resulted in a handful of accessories specifically designed to make them better.
For instance, the EarPods — like many cheap earphones — often struggle to stay put while you’re active. That means they aren’t the best for working out. If you really don’t want to switch to a different pair entirely, though, you have the luxury of picking up an attachment like the Earhoox.
These little things slide over the top of your earbuds, adding shark fin-style hooks that give them a better chance of not falling out on the run. They’re sweat-resistant on top of that, and Earhoox (the company) includes options for larger and smaller ears in the box. They also come in a handful of colors.
The Earhoox aren’t the only solution like this, and some would argue the fin-shaped form factor is inherently irritating. Plus, none of these things can stop the EarPods from sounding mediocre. But the Earhoox do support EarPods and round earbuds in general, and they come supported by solid Amazon reviews on both fronts. (A 4.4 rating after 550 reviews for the former, a 3.9 rating after 225 reviews for the latter.) If you have a pair of cheap, beater earbuds that’d serve you best at the gym, they’re worth a look.
