Apparently not satisfied with their performance during a friendly with a Nigerian National League (NNL) team, coach Samson Siasia has axed five more players from the team’s camp as he continues to intensify preparations for the crucial double header against the Pharaohs of Egypt.

The tactician was unimpressed with the players after they struggled to a scoreless draw on Thursday March 10 against NNL side, Katsina United in a friendly game played inside the main bowl of the national stadium, Abuja.
Five of the players were immediately released while one of them was transferred to the Dream Team camp who are currently preparing for an international friendly against Brazil.
The affected players are, defenders Christopher Madaki and Oke Ogagatewho, midfielder Hassan Yau, attackers Prince Aggreh and Ezekiel Bassey who were told to return to their clubs. Young winger Bright Onyedikachi immediately departed for Olympic Team.
According to Nigerian Bulletin, the Super Eagles media officer, Toyin Ibitoye, disclosed only 13 players are now expected in camp next week.
Earlier, the no-nonsense coach barred defender Segun Oduduwa and midfielders Stanley Dimgba and Usman Mohammed from showing up at the Bolton White Apartments camp of the Super Eagles, after they reported late to the camp of the U-23 team without earlier permission.

The Super Eagles’ new boss is known to be a disciplinarian. He threw out star midfielder Kingsley Sokari and talented forward Daniel Etor from his squad for the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations after the pair opted to play for their club, Enyimba FC, in a final NPFL game in Lagos in November 2015, against his instructions.
