The grizzled cowboy walked into the stable behind the rodeo. The cowboy was so grizzled that his hair looked like a wig you would pick out at a wig shop if you wanted someone to describe you in writing as “grizzled.” But it was no wig. It was lots of hair plugs—the cowboy had had them surgically inserted after he lost his hair. He hadn’t been embarrassed about going bald. (He wasn’t much concerned about his appearance—the Juicy Couture tracksuit he was wearing made that clear.) He’d gotten the hair plugs because, after his hair loss, his cowboy hat no longer fit properly, and he knew it would fall off when he was riding bulls in the rodeo show.
