Photos: Woman brutally run over and killed in Lagos
– A woman in the Cele area of Lagos has been killed in a road accident
– She was killed after a bus plowed into her while she stood by the roadside
– The driver subsequently fled the scene and police have not arrested him
A woman on her way to work lost her life when a bus driver lost control and veered off the road to where she was standing.
The unfortunate woman, who has thus far not been named, was standing by an express way in Lagos when a bus plowed into her, leaving her dead by the roadside.
Promise Nwagu, one of the deceased’s relatives who posted about the incident on Facebook, described the horrific scene to his social media followers.

“My uncle’s wife was yesterday at Cele express mile 2 Oshodi express way in Lagos [where she] was standing, not even on the major road,” Promise said.
“A bus lost [control of its] brake and took away this poor woman’s life on her way to work, leaving her poor husband and two daughters,” her grieving relative said.

The local police force has so far not commented on the incident and the bus driver remains at large.
