A preacher has been arrested by officials of the Nigerian Railway Corporation after he was caught preaching in a train and not having a ticket.
NAN reports that the gospel preacher alongside other persons was arrested on March 10 at Agbado train station in Ogun.
Members of the task force assigned to maintain order aboard the train apprehended the preacher and other person for not having tickets which was against the rule.

It was reported that the yet-to-be-identified preacher was known to always stay in the first coack where he preached loudly, an act that drew complaint from passengers.
One of he members of the task force who spoke on the condition of anonymity said action had to be taken following the complaint as part of the rules was “No Preaching’’ and “No Passenger without Ticket’’ on train
He said the penalty for any offence was either three months imprisonment or N25,000 fine.
“So, the preacher and the other arrested passengers will be charged to court for boarding the train without tickets,’’ he said.

He added that the preacher might have been intimidating the ticket collector with his preaching might made them take action against him finally. All arrested persons are expected to appear in court in a week’s time.
A top official in the corporation, who also demanded anonymity listed hawking, alms begging and noise making as some of the offences people should not commit in train.
