The home-based Super Eagles were beaten 2-0 by the Olympic squad in a training match in preparation of the AFCON 2017 double header against Egypt.

The senior national team had earlier in the week beaten the Dream Team VI by the same score line and it was payback time for the Siasia led U-23 African Champions.

U-23 star Ubong Moses Ekpai said he was happy his team had their own pound of flesh, stating that they worked hard to earn them the morale boosting victory.
He further stressed that the he is happy with his teams’ level of dedication and the coaching technique of Samson Siasia.
The camp will swell in coming weeks with the foreign based players to strengthen the squad ahead of the double-header against Egypt which will be played in Kaduna and Alexandria respectively late March.
