Father cries after seeing his daughter’s gift on son’s death anniversary
Losing a loved one is the kind of pain one can never forget, even after a long time has passed. We may tend to get used to it and accept the fact that they are gone, but the pain will never escape us. It’s like a wound that reopens every single time that a certain memory hits us, and we just cannot help but let the tears flow.
Candice, the woman in the video below, knows exactly the feeling. She and her family went through the agonizing pain of losing her brother Tommy. Since her brother’s death anniversary is fast approaching, Candice knew just the right thing to do. She planned of giving a gift to her father which can make the memories of her brother alive.
What she gave him? A picture frame which holds photos of Tommy, as well as of Candice and her brothers. Candice asked her dad to close his eyes, and when he finally opened them? He was instantly in tears. The emotional moment made Candice cry, too. “I made it and it took forever to get everything together, but I did it,” she said.
They may be just plain, old photos, but for Candice, her dad, and her family, they are forever reminders that once they were blessed to have Tommy in their lives.
