Donald Trump was declared the winner in seven states on Super Tuesday, giving him the most delegates of any current Republican candidate. He even clinched the endorsement of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (who looked like he regretted it immediately).
Now, there’s been a huge spike in people searching “move to Canada” on Google in the wake of the March 1st results.

Datajournalist and Data Editor at Google Simon Rodgers was the first to spot the trend on Twitter. At first, it was only trending 350% above average.

Searches for "how can I move to Canada" on Google have spiked +350% in the past four hours #SuperTuesday
But about an hour later, Mashable’s Brian Ries pointed out that the query “how can I move to Canada?” had skyrocketed and was trending 1,150% above average.

Ries also reported it appeared Canada’s immigration website was even having problems loading due to site traffic.
At the time of this writing, “How can I move to Canada” is currently at 900% more than its usual rate. And while the Canadian immigration site was working, there was a note that “you may experience delays while using the website. We are working to resolve this issue. Thank you for your patience.”

The majority of searches seem to be coming from Massachusetts, where Donald Trump won with whopping 49% of the Republican vote.
There’s also an uptick in search traffic in Washington, Illinois, New York, Florida, California, and Red State, Texas.

Looks like we should all move to Cape Breton and call it a day.
