Demolitions gain steam, old municipal council bldg razed
Day two of the special demolition drive initiated to clear encroachments from the railway station area saw over 800 structures being razed by the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC). While day-one of the drive went off peacefully, several residents and traders from the area complained of injustice meted out by the TMC as it suddenly started with the drive without considering their status.
