David Mark sworn in as Senate member for the 6th time (Photos)
David Mark, the former Senate President was today, March 2, sworn in by the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki.
This is making it the 6th time he would be inaugurated to represent the people of Benue South Senatorial District in the Upper Chamber.
Mark had been in and out of the court over his annuled election which caused a rerun. He polled a total of 84, 192 votes to defeat his challenger, Daniel Onjeh of the APC who polled 71, 621 votes.

The rerun was conducted after the Appeal Court annulled the March 28, 2015 election of which Mark was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Mark on Monday February 29 stated that his victory at the Benue South rerun election is a renewed mandate to continue to serve God and humanity without blemish.
This was disclosed in a press statement by Paul Mumeh, the media assistant to Senator David Mark Senator Mark said this when he received his certificate of return at headquarters today in Abuja.
