Spanish giants Real Madrid proved too strong for AS Roma as the Zinedine Zidane-led side defeated the Italian team two goals to nothing.
A brilliant strike by Cristiano Ronaldo with a classy finish by substitute Jesse ensured Madrid take home a win as well as two away goals.
Cristiano Ronaldo and his Real Madrid team-mates were dressed to impress on their flight back to Spain as they celebrated their 2-0 Champions League win against Roma.
Roma, who failed to take advantage of their opportunities in an open second half, will travel to the Bernabeu on March 8.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo has suggested that he does not have a great relationship off the pitch with fellow first team attacker Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale.
Ronaldo was reacting to a question by a reporter who asked if he enjoyed a close bond with his fellow attackers like Lionel Messi does with Luis Suarez and Neymar.
“It doesn’t matter if Bale comes to my house of if I have dinner with Benzema,” he told reporters.
“Kisses and hugs aren’t important, only the things that happen on the pitch are important. That’s the only thing I value.”
