Ahead of the crucial 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) double-header against the Pharaohs of Egypt, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will resume camp in the first week of March to perfect plans for the all-important encounter.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) executive committee member Chris Green said in Abuja on February 18 that all is almost set to prepare the team for the first leg encounter which will now hold on March 25, 2016 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna.
He said: “The team will open camp by first week of next month (March) with the home-based players.

“Six to seven days to the match Egypt, the international players will arrive. Super Eagles is Super Eagles; there is no dichotomy, there is no home-based; there is no foreign-based; they are all professionals.
“And so those playing outside will now join the home-based and they will come about a team and when they come about making a team that is the team that will play the Egyptians.’’
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles head coach Sunday Oliseh has expressed optimism that Nigeria can secure the maximum points against Egypt in their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations double-header in March.

The embattled coach disclosed that the seven-time Africans champions are not as good as they used to be this time.
The Nigerian coach emphasized that only the fit players would be considered for selection as the injury woes of West Ham attacker Victor Moses continues.
