– Prominent legal practitioner, High Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN) will host prominent Nigerians to his book launch tomorrow at the Yar’adua centre, Abuja.
– The book titled ”Zoning to Unzone: The politics of power and the power of politics in Nigeria” seeks to address several pressing historical and contemporary national issues about Nigeria.
– Among those who will grace the occasion are Edo state governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomole who is the chief host, former foreign affairs minister, Professor Bolaji Akinyemi and immediate past secretary of the federal government, Chief Anyim Pius Anyim, among others.
Prominent Nigerians from all walks of life will gather tomorrow, Tuesday, February 9 at the Yar’Adua centre, Abuja for the historic presentation of the book. “Zoning to Unzone: The politics of power and the power of politics in Nigeria.”

The book, authored by one of Nigeria’s finest legal practitioners, High Chief Mike Ozekhome (S.A.N), seeks to address several pressing historical and contemporary national issues about Nigeria.

Issues such as federalism, zoning, rotational presidency, federal character, resource control, devolution of power, presidentialism, minority rights, and virtually everything about Nigeria’s political development and trajectory, from amalgamation till date.
The event will be attended by major critical stakeholders in Nigeria, could not have been more apt, given their immense contributions to Nigeria’s socioeconomic development.
The foreword of the book is written by respected elder statesman and senior legal practitioner, Chief Wole Olaonipekun, who stated that Ozekhome articulates very pointedly, the antediluvian problems causing things to fall apart, and precipitating disharmony at the centre in Nigeria.
On his part, Ozekhome while given reasons why he wrote the book in its preface, stated that: ”I write from the vantage position of a patriot, an unrepetant nationalist, fired by the unquenchable embers of my love and passion for my country.
”The love which found me (and others of like mind), in the deep trenches, against successive military juntas in Nigeria, forthe better part of my youth.”
