Over 300 swimmers from across Thane district took a plunge into the competition pool to win a medal or two at the Mayor Cup District Level Aquatic Championship. The tourney was organised by the Thane District Amateur Aquatic Association held at Thane Club swimming facility on Sunday. Old champs created waves in the pool in various heats to top the podium. The competition was conducted in 6 different age groups for both boys and girls in heats like freestyle, butterfly and backstroke.
