Tokayev meets with Kazakhstanis in Washington

Tengrinews.kz – Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting in Washington with citizens of Kazakhstan who live and study in the United States of America.
This was reported by the Akorda press service.
During the conversation, the Kazakh leader noted that he places great hopes on the younger generation. He emphasized that the state pays special attention to issues of youth development and to creating conditions for their self-realization.

The President reminded them of the upcoming nationwide referendum in March on the draft of the new Constitution, stressing its historical significance for the future of our country.

In turn, students and young researchers expressed their gratitude to Tokayev for his comprehensive support of science and education.

As Akorda reported earlier, the Head of State has arrived in Washington on a working visit at the invitation of the American leader. As part of the visit, Tokayev will take part in the inaugural meeting of the Peace Council and hold a number of meetings with foreign leaders as well as US officials.
The summit is expected to focus on stabilizing the situation in the Gaza Strip, as well as developing practical steps to ensure peace, security and sustainable humanitarian support in the region.
