US dollar weakens in Kazakhstan

Tengrinews.kz – The US dollar fell against the tenge during trading on November 3, according to the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).

The weighted average exchange rate stood at 528.31 tenge per dollar, down 1.65 tenge from the previous session. The official rate set by the National Bank of Kazakhstan for November 3 is 530.47 tenge per dollar.

According to kurs.kz, the average exchange rates in exchange offices were as follows:Almaty:

Buying – 527.03 tengeSelling – 529.42 tenge

Astana:

Buying – 526.33 tengeSelling – 532.33 tenge

Earlier, on October 10, the National Bank raised the base rate from 16.5% (±1 percentage point) to 18%, maintaining the same corridor.
