Tengrinews.kz - A resident of Satpayev faced trial for distributing intimate photos and personal messages of his ex-girlfriend.
According to the court, the accused created a Telegram group with 12 members, including the 22-year-old woman’s relatives, friends, and acquaintances. He posted her intimate photos, private messages, and confidential information in the group. Additionally, he created a TikTok account where he uploaded an audio recording of the victim, accompanied by her photos and videos.
The man fully admitted his guilt, expressed remorse, and apologized to his ex-girlfriend.
"The defendant, intending to shame his ex-girlfriend, created a group in the Telegram app, adding 12 people, including acquaintances, relatives, and friends of the victim. He published two photos of her, where she was topless, along with private messages and confidential information. Furthermore, the defendant created a TikTok account where he shared an audio recording of the victim along with her photos and videos," the Satpayev City Court press service reported.
The man was tried under Article 147, Section 5, for "Violation of privacy and personal data protection legislation."
"Taking into account the admission of guilt, mitigating, and aggravating circumstances, the court sentenced him to three years in prison, to be served in a medium-security facility. The defendant was taken into custody in the courtroom. The verdict has not yet come into legal force," the Satpayev City Court press service reported.
