Tengrinews.kz - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with French President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the One Water Summit in Riyadh on Tuesday, according to Akorda’s press service.
President Tokayev fondly recalled his recent state visit to France and expressed gratitude to Macron for the exceptional hospitality extended to the Kazakh delegation.
The Kazakh leader emphasized the significance of agreements reached in Paris, aimed at elevating Kazakhstan-France relations to the level of reinforced strategic partnership.
"I am deeply satisfied with the outcomes of our talks and the agreements signed. This visit marked a pivotal step toward long-term economic growth and strengthened ties between our nations. It is gratifying to see tangible results from key agreements across various sectors just weeks later," Tokayev stated.

President Macron highlighted the dynamic development of bilateral relations and stressed the importance of joint efforts in combating climate change and advancing the green economy.
The two leaders discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation in energy efficiency, clean technologies, water resource management, innovation, data exchange, and artificial intelligence.
They also exchanged views on pressing regional and international issues during the meeting.
Earlier, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Saudi Arabia for a working visit to participate in the One Water Summit and met with Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in Riyadh.
