Tengrinews.kz - More than 172,000 hectares of agricultural land have been returned to state ownership in the Ulytau region, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.
The transfer was carried out by the Committee of Land Administration under the ministry as part of a directive from the President.
"A total of 172,526 hectares were returned, including 92,032 hectares of arable land, 78,766 hectares of pastures, and 1,728 hectares of other types of land," the ministry's statement reads.
To ensure the proper use and protection of land, the regional department of the land administration conducted unscheduled inspections across the area.
Following these inspections, fines amounting to 6.1 million tenge were imposed and collected for violations under Articles 136 and 338 of Kazakhstan's Administrative Offenses Code.
