Tengrinews.kz - Upon the conclusion of the talks in a narrow format, the President of Kazakhstan and the Prime Minister of Hungary continued discussions in an expanded format with the participation of members of the official delegations, according to the press service of Akorda.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed gratitude to the Hungarian side for the invitation and warm reception, noting the historical and cultural closeness of the two nations.
"It is a great honor for me to be in the capital of Hungary, a friendly and brotherly country. The main goal of my visit is to give new momentum to the multifaceted cooperation between our countries," emphasized the President of Kazakhstan.
The interlocutors discussed urgent issues of bilateral cooperation and reached a number of important agreements, including the establishment of the Kazakhstan-Hungary Investment Fund. The discussion focused on key areas of cooperation such as trade and economic partnerships, energy, oil and gas, transportation, and education.
Viktor Orban highlighted the importance of activating bilateral ties and expressed confidence in the successful implementation of the agreements reached.
"Our countries share a common history and great prospects for strengthening cooperation. Today's negotiations will lay the foundation for further interaction in the interests of our peoples," noted the Prime Minister of Hungary.
At the end of the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited Viktor Orban to visit Astana on a reciprocal visit.
The President of Kazakhstan arrived in Hungary on a state visit on November 19.
He met with the President of Hungary, Tamas Sulyok. The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues related to strengthening the Kazakh-Hungarian strategic partnership.
Kassym-Jomart also held a meeting with the Laszlo Kover, speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly, and invited him to Kazakhstan.
The day before, Tokayev and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban attended the UEFA Nations League match between Hungary and Germany.
