Lady Captain’s Weekly News 6th January 2025

Welcome to 2025 and a very happy New Year to all of you. The past two weeks have flown by with many golf events at the Club. I have heard that Christmas Day lunch was a resounding success with 140 people sitting down to a delicious buffet lunch – Well done the San Roque Team.

From the 24th December until 5th of January we have had 7 golf competitions, whilst we all managed to fit in Christmas and New Year. I would like to thank Michael and Svetlana for their support during this Festive time.

The letter has been sent out for the vice captaincy role for 2025-2026. I know Svetlana will make a wonderful captain and I am sure with her new vice they will make a great team from April. It so important to work together, which Svetlana and I have done over the past year.

Unfortunately, due the numbers we had to start this event very early in the rain. The day did clear up and everyone finished – Thank you to those who waited for the prize giving. It was good to have our Captain back from his Christmas break, coming pretty much from the airport!!
