After much anticipation, Pokemon GO has confirmed that Mega Lucario will debut in the upcoming Ultra Unlock Raid Day event. Pokemon GO offers various forms of Pokemon for trainers to catch, one of which includes Mega Pokemon, adding an extra layer of excitement to the game.
In the mainline Pokemon games, players need a Mega Stone to evolve their Pokemon into Mega forms. However, in Pokemon GO, Mega Evolution requires specific Mega Energy for each Pokemon. These Mega Evolutions provide a temporary but significant CP boost, after which the Pokemon enters a rest period. Several Mega Pokemon, such as Mega Rayquaza, Mega Gengar, and Mega Alakazam, have already made their debut. Now, Pokemon GO is adding another fan-favorite: Mega Lucario.
Pokemon GO has announced that Mega Lucario will make its debut during the Ultra Unlock Raid Day event on July 21 from 11 am to 5 pm local time. During this event, Mega Lucario will appear more frequently in raids, giving trainers the opportunity to capture a shiny version. Lucario encountered in these raids will know the Fast Attack Force Palm, which has 13 power in trainer battles and 9 power in Gyms and raids.
The Ultra Unlock: Mega Lucario Raid Day event will also increase the chances of trainers obtaining Rare Candy XL in raid battles and boost the XP earned by 1.5x. Players who spin PokeStops during the event will receive up to five additional free Raid Passes. To celebrate Mega Lucario's debut, Pokemon GO will temporarily increase the Remote Raid limit to 20 from July 26 at 5 pm to July 27 at 8 pm PDT. Additionally, a new Lucario-themed cosmetic item will be available on the Pokemon Web Store.
A new event ticket, priced at $5.00 USD, will offer players bonuses such as additional Raid Passes, increased chances of obtaining Rare Candy XL, and more XP and Stardust earned in raids.
