UEFA has announced a reduction in the maximum ticket prices that home clubs can charge visiting fans across three club competitions: the Champions League (UCL), Europa League (UEL), and Conference League (UECL). The new maximum price for away tickets in the UCL is €60, which will prevent clubs from charging €70-75 as some have done in the past. However, clubs like Liverpool and Barcelona, who already charge €55-60, are still pricing tickets at a high level.
Away tickets in the Europa League will now cost a maximum of €40, and €20 in the third-tier Conference League.
Starting in the 2025/26 season, these prices will be further reduced to a maximum of €50 in the Champions League, €35 in the Europa League, and still €20 in the Conference League.
Although these prices are still far from the desirable €20 maximum preferred by fans and won’t redeem UEFA’s image, this represent a small step in the right direction.
