President Duterte has appointed six new government executives, among them popular rock musician/businessman Ramon Jacinto, Malacañang announced Thursday. The President designated Jacinto as Presidential Adviser on Economic Affairs and Information Technology Communications with the rank of Undersecretary. Jacinto, president of Philcomsat Holdings Corp., was the brains behind a campaign jingle for the then Davao City mayor when he ran for president. Arthur Tabaquero as Presidential Adviser on Military Affairs and former Air Force Reserved Command chief Brig. Gen. Raymundo Elefante as Defense Undersecretary for Finance, Ammunitions, Installations and Materiels.
