The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) took part in a Unity Walk themed “Electrical Safety Starts with Me” held at the grounds of the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City in observance of the Electrical Safety Month. Organized by the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, the annual event held every May aims to raise public awareness on the significance of electrical safety. Representing Meralco at the Unity Walk was the Meralco K-Ligtas (Kuryenteng Ligtas) Awards Committee led by its vice chairman Engr. Hipolito A. Leoncio and members Fire Senior Inspector Capt. Anthony R. Arroyo and Engr. Eugene F. Araullo.
