When Barnum & Bailey and Ringling Bros. bring its circus this week to the North Charleston Coliseum for the 15th time, it will be the last chance for local audiences to see its herd of Asian elephants before they’re permanently retired from the circus. Protesters, however, will likely remain a fixture of the event.
