Casayuran “A failure in communication” is how former Interior and Local Government Secretary Rafael Alunan called President Aquino’s rejection of the bill increasing the pension of beneficiaries of the Social Security System (SSS). In a news forum yesterday, Alunan said the legislative body should have communicated with the SSS and the President to discuss solutions to sustain the viability of SSS after the bill emanated from the House of Representatives. “I don’t think such a thing happened.
