Arsenal reveal reason Premier League clash with Everton may be rescheduled
Arsenal have confirmed that their Premier League fixture against Everton at the Emirates Stadium remains subject to change due to scheduling uncertainties linked to the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
The Gunners are currently scheduled to host the Merseyside club on Sunday, March 15, 2026, with kick-off set for 2:00pm UK time.
However, the club announced on their official website that the final date and time will be confirmed only after the Champions League knockout-stage draw.
In a statement, Arsenal explained that the Premier League are awaiting the outcome of Friday’s Round of 16 draw, which will determine when the North London side will play their European fixtures.
“The Premier League has confirmed that our home Premier League match against Everton, currently scheduled for Sunday 15 March (kickoff 2pm) is still subject to change, with the confirmed date to be decided after the UEFA Champions League knockout stages draw on Friday,” the club said.
“The Premier League has published the following explanation, giving further details around the decision-making process.”
The potential adjustment is due to the need to avoid fixture congestion and ensure adequate recovery time between domestic and European matches.
Arsenal currently sit at the top of the Premier League table, holding a five-point lead over Manchester City following their dominant victory in the North London derby.
Before hosting Everton, the Gunners will take on Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion, as they aim to secure positive results to maintain their momentum in the title race.
The draw for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 is scheduled to take place on Friday and will begin at 11:00am UK time.
