There was a new albeit familiar face on Ferrari’s pitwall at Tuesday’s post-season test in Abu Dhabi, with Jerome d’Ambrosio making his official debut as the Scuderia’s Deputy Team Principal.
The 38-year-old Belgian, who raced in F1 for Marussia Virgin Racing and Lotus before finding success as a Formula E driver and team leader, has quickly ascended the motorsport management ladder.
D’Ambrosio most recently worked with Mercedes, where he honed his leadership skills under Toto Wolff and managed the Driver Development Program.
Appointed to his Ferrari role in October 2024, d’Ambrosio also oversees the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy.
Tuesday’s test offered the former Grand Prix driver an opportunity to observe operations up close, kicking off a new chapter in his motorsport career.
