Tengrinews.kz - Many residents and visitors of the capital are wondering: will there be a colorful fireworks display for Independence Day? This question was answered by the press service of the city akimat (local government administration) for Tengrinews.kz.
As is known, Independence Day is celebrated in Kazakhstan on December 16. Traditionally, events are held across the country to mark the occasion. Many residents and guests of the metropolis are curious whether fireworks will be part of this year's festivities. The press service of the city akimat provided a response.
"In honor of Independence Day, more than 50 various festive and official events will be held in Astana, including exhibitions, concerts, art contests, tournaments, and sports competitions, among others. However, there will be no fireworks," the akimat's press service reported.
Earlier, our publication prepared a calendar showing how Kazakhstani citizens will enjoy their days off in December.
In 2024, December 16 falls on a Monday, giving the country's residents a long weekend to enjoy.
Weekend schedule:
December 14, Saturday: A workday for those on a six-day schedule and a day off for those on a five-day schedule.
December 15, Sunday: Regular day off.
December 16, Monday: Independence Day (a public holiday for all).
