Tengrinews.kz - Starting December 14, the Ministry of Emergency Situations will switch to an enhanced service mode due to the increased risk of emergencies. The ministry has issued a warning to Kazakhstanis ahead of the holidays.
Territorial units of the ministry have been instructed to strengthen preventive measures and ensure safety. It is noted that particular attention will be given to conducting informational talks with citizens on fire safety, safe behavior on water, in the mountains, and adherence to road traffic rules.
"Observing safety rules can prevent many incidents. We are intensifying preventive work and urge citizens to be vigilant," emphasized the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
It is reported that from December 14, 2024, the ministry's units will transition to an enhanced service mode due to the heightened risk of emergencies. This includes additional patrols, monitoring public events, and ensuring safety at recreational sites.
There will also be fire and tactical drills, briefings for business personnel, and commission inspections with recommendations issued.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds citizens to observe basic safety rules:
Fire safety: be cautious when using heating and electrical appliances, never leave children unsupervised, and follow safety measures when using fireworks.
Water safety: do not walk on thin ice, follow behavior rules around bodies of water, and do not allow children to be unsupervised near water.
Mountain safety: use verified equipment, do not go on mountain routes without proper preparation and knowledge of the path.
Road safety: follow traffic rules, especially in winter conditions, and be cautious when driving.
