Tengrinews.kz – Kazhydromet warns residents of Astana, Almaty and five other Kazakh cities.
"On December 2, 2024, unfavorable meteorological conditions of air pollution are expected in the cities of Astana, Almaty, Kyzylorda, Aktobe, Atyrau, Pavlodar, Kostanay," the report says.
Unfavorable meteorological conditions are a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, light wind, fog, inversion), which contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the surface layer of atmospheric air.
