Tengrinews.kz - Chairman of the Board of "KazMunayGas," Askhat Khassenov, commented on the current situation at the "Ozenmunaigas" company.
Khassenov detailed the losses caused by the strike in Zhanaozen.
"The damage varies but amounts to approximately 100 tons (of oil) per day. That’s what we’re losing. There are certain challenges, but the main equipment and key crews are already operational today. So, we are quickly ramping up production," Khassenov said at a briefing.
The head of the company assured that the leadership of "KazMunayGas" is open to dialogue with the strikers.
"We urge everyone to return to work. That's the first point. Secondly, people are receiving inaccurate information. If the correct information is conveyed, including through the media, I believe there is no reason for unsanctioned actions at all. We are ready for dialogue," he noted.
Khassenov also revealed how many workers are still on strike.
"Today, 141 people did not show up for work. Meanwhile, 4,630 people are on the job," concluded Askhat Khassenov.
Earlier, it was reported that workers from the "Ozenmunaigas" company in Zhanaozen had gone on strike.
