Tengrinews.kz – Presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan and Emmanuel Macron of France shared an informal walk with Kazakh tazy dogs in the gardens of the Élysée Palace during Tokayev’s state visit to France, according to the Telegram channel "Bort No. 1".
The two leaders strolled through the palace gardens with the Kazakh tazy dogs, Jules and Jeanne, which Tokayev gifted to Macron last year during the French President's visit to Astana.
"The presidents were accompanied on the walk by the tazy dogs, Jules and Jeanne, gifted to Macron by the Kazakh President last year," the Telegram post noted.
Last year, Tokayev presented the then five-month-old tazy puppies to Macron after the French leader admired the Kazakh hunting dogs at an exhibition in Astana. The puppies, now residing at the Elysee Palace, have reportedly befriended Macron’s black Labrador, Nemo. In March, Macron’s personal photographer shared an Instagram post of the French President with the Kazakh tazy dogs, highlighting the unique bond between the leaders and their canine companions.
