Tengrinews.kz - A nine-year-old boy was injured while trying to jump over a metal fence in Astana.
The details of the incident were reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan.
According to the information, the child slipped and impaled his leg on a spike, unable to free himself. Rescuers arrived at the scene and carefully freed the boy using hydraulic tools before handing him over to an ambulance crew.
The city health department reported that the boy's condition is stable, and now he is on inpatient treatment in the trauma department.
"The boy has a puncture wound with a foreign object in his left thigh. He was examined by a trauma specialist and an intensivist and was hospitalized in the trauma department," the statement said.
A similar incident happened with a 9-year-old boy in Almaty, who fell onto iron rods. As a result, he sustained severe injuries to his face and neck.
