Tengrinews.kz - New details have emerged regarding the life of a 12-year-old schoolgirl who gave birth to a child in the Pavlodar region after being raped. The young mother may not return to her previous home with her parents due to the poor living conditions.
Currently, the Education Department of the Pavlodar region, the Akimat of Shcherbakta district, and Children's Ombudsman Saule Shakeneva are working to find suitable accommodation for the girl and her newborn daughter.
Shakeneva visited the girl's family, which includes four other young children, and found their living conditions to be extremely unsatisfactory. "It is difficult to call this temporary house a home. It is a three-room dwelling, and the conditions are certainly poor," she stated.

According to Shakeneva, the girl's parents bought the village house themselves but have not yet paid for it. The girl and her baby remain in the hospital and will not be returned to their previous living conditions. Authorities are currently deciding on a new place for them to live. Dinara Zakieva, the Commissioner for Children's Rights, is overseeing the matter, and a commission meeting will be held soon to discuss their placement.
The family moved to Kazakhstan from Mongolia in 2019 at the invitation of relatives. Three more children were born to them in the Pavlodar region.
"The mother, born in 1990, cannot read or write. The father, 38 years old, completed six grades and is currently unemployed. They learned about their 12-year-old daughter's pregnancy on April 3 from teachers, with an ultrasound confirming the fact. They were unaware of the violence and claim they no longer have contact with the suspect's family," Shakeneva added.
