Krafton has announced that the second beta test for Dark and Darker Mobile will be available soon and will expand to several regions, unlike the initial test which was limited to Korean players.
Developed by Bluehole Studio, Dark and Darker Mobile aims to deliver the intense dungeon crawler experience of Ironmace's dark fantasy RPG to Android and iOS devices. The first beta test, held in April, was exclusive to Android users in South Korea and attracted over 50,000 participants. With a global release targeted for late 2024, the development team has shared more details about the second beta test, which will include additional regions.
The second beta test for Dark and Darker Mobile will run from August 1 to August 11, according to Production Director Joonseok Ahn in a recent development blog on YouTube. Although labeled a global beta test, it will be available only to Android and iOS users in Japan, South Korea, Turkey, and the US. This test will introduce the powerful Wizard class and a new village system, enabling players to fish and cook with in-game ingredients. Additionally, this build will feature balance adjustments to weapons, items, and classes to enhance strategic gameplay.
Interested Android users can register for the beta until July 31, while iOS users have until July 29 to sign up. Participants in the upcoming beta test will receive 20,000 Platinum Coins, valued at $145, as a reward. Platinum Coins, the premium currency in Dark and Darker Mobile, have a higher value compared to the more commonly used in-game gold. In comparison, the game also utilizes Silver Coins, Gold Coins, and a paid currency known as Redstone Shards.
