Man sentenced to life in prison for brutal murder of 4-year-old

Tengrinews.kz - In the case of torture and murder of a child, a court in Semey sentenced a man to life imprisonment.
In September 2023, four-year-old boy's body was found in a roadside toilet on a motorway near Semey. It was reported at the time that the child's mother left her son with a nanny, when she returned to pick him up, the child was gone.
According to the court, the 4-year-old child was in the accused man's home. His spouse was the dead boy's nanny.

"A 38-year-old man at his home was in alcohol intoxication without clothes in front of the children. He committed acts of a sexual nature against his 9-year-old daughter, subjected to torture a 4-year-old child, whom his mother left his spouse as a nanny and left to earn money," explained the court.

The court found that for the entire four months that the child was in the accused's home, the man had a grudge against him.

"To kill the boy, the accused hit him several times. The child died from his injuries. Expecting his death, the man did not render any assistance to him. Afterwards, putting the child's body in a bag, he flushed it down the pit of a roadside toilet. The man's spouse during the entire stay at home did not take proper measures to protect him and ensure his safety," reported the court.

The court sentenced the defendant to life imprisonment, finding him guilty of acts of a sexual nature against a minor child, torture and murder.
His wife was found guilty, and the court sentenced her to 2.5 years' imprisonment with deprivation of the right to hold pedagogical posts and posts related to work with minors for three years.
