Game Saturday (Blue Eagle Gym) 10 a.m. – Ateneo vs NU Back to back Most Valuable Player awardee Afril Bernardino came out with a huge all-around performance to steer the unbeaten National University (NU) to an easy 91-59 victory over Ateneo in the UAAP women’s basketball finals yesterday at the Mall of Asia Arena. Bernardino finished with 17 points, 18 rebounds, five blocks, three steals and two steals as the Lady Bulldogs claimed their 31st straight victory in the tournament. But more than that, the win pushed the Lady Bulldogs one step closes from becoming the first women’s team in years to caputure back-to-back titles without dropping a game.
