Utah Congress members sue to try to block new House districts that boost Democrats' chances
Two Utah Republican Congress members are asking a federal court to block new U.S. House districts that could help Democrats win a Salt Lake City seat. A lawsuit filed Monday by U.S. Reps. Celeste Maloy and Burgess Owens claims a state judge violated the Constitution by rejecting districts drawn by the Republican-led Legislature.
